This policy is about how Asif Rahim, trading as RESPAWNA (Sole Proprietorship), trading as RESPAWNA, handles personal data of café owners and their staff, and of anyone who asks us for a trial.
It is not about players at a gaming café. If a café runs on RESPAWNA, that café decides what member information it collects and why · it is the Data Fiduciary and we only process that data on its instructions. The policy covering players is published on the café's own site.
When you ask for a trial: your name, your café's name, email address and phone number. We use them to send the confirmation link, to set up your café, and to contact you about it.
When you hold an account: your name, email, the account role you hold, and your café's configuration. We use them to run the service, authenticate you and provide support.
When you pay: the record that a payment was made, its amount and status. Card and bank details are handled entirely by Razorpay and never reach us.
Technical records: server and error logs, which contain IP addresses and request details, kept so we can keep the service secure and working.
Mostly we process this data because it is necessary to provide the service you asked for, and to meet obligations such as keeping proper financial records. Where we rely on your consent · sending you product or marketing email · you gave it deliberately and can withdraw it at any time, as easily as you gave it, with no effect on your account.
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing. We use these processors to run the service:
Some of these operate infrastructure outside India. The Digital Personal Data Protection Act permits such transfers except to countries the Government restricts, and we do not transfer personal data to any restricted country. Your café's database itself sits in Mumbai.
We will also disclose data where a law or a valid order from a court or authority requires it.
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can ask us to:
Write to our Grievance Officer using the details on the contact page. We acknowledge within 24 hours and aim to resolve within 15 days. We do not charge for this.
Access to café data is restricted by role and enforced in the database itself, so one café cannot read another's records. That isolation is tested automatically on every build rather than assumed. Data is encrypted in transit, passwords are stored only as salted hashes and are never visible to us, and administrative access is limited to those who need it.
If a breach affects your personal data we will tell you without undue delay and report it to the Data Protection Board of India within the time the law requires. No system is perfectly secure, and we would rather say that plainly than imply otherwise.
RESPAWNA is sold to businesses, and accounts are for adults operating a café. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children through this site. Where a café's own members include people under 18, obtaining verifiable parental consent and refraining from tracking or targeting them is that café's responsibility as the Data Fiduciary, and our Data Processing Agreement says so.
In the application itself we use only what it needs to work · a session cookie to keep you signed in, and a local preference for your light or dark theme.
On respawna.com we also measure traffic, so we know which pages are worth keeping. This uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies, stores no identifier for you, and does not fingerprint your device or follow you to other sites.
The site loads Google Tag Manager, the container we use to manage measurement tags. Because it is fetched from Google's servers, Google receives your IP address and the address of the page you are on. The container currently runs no advertising tags and sets no cookies. If we ever add a tag that does, we will ask for your consent before it runs.
We also keep our own record of pages requested here: the page, the referring site, your device type, your country, your IP address, and the order in which you viewed pages during a visit. We use it to see which pages are useful and where people lose interest. We set no cookies for it, we never sell or share it, and we delete it after 90 days. Write to us to ask what we hold about an address, or to have it removed.
If you send a message to the assistant on this site, the text you type is passed to Anthropic's API to generate the reply. Do not put personal or confidential details into it · it exists to answer questions about the product.
If we change this policy materially we will tell account holders by email. If we have not resolved a privacy concern to your satisfaction, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
